NTT line cost
Applying for the NTT line, you are required to pay for the first monthly fee, contract fee and technical work fee.

To select the optical fiber, a telephone line is not needed. NTT does necessary technical work at your home. If you live in an apartment, please notify your landlord beforehand. And for the optical fiber contract, your apartment must have the optical fiber line already installed. Please refer to the NTT web site.

To use the IP telephone service, you need another telephone. You can have free calls when calls are made using the same telephone company, but have to pay for calls between the different telephone companies (NTT, KDDI).
